Check fit and access
Ask whether telehealth is appropriate for your needs and location. Confirm how to connect, what happens if the call drops and what private setting is available. Some needs require in-person or medical care.
Prepare your questions
Bring recovery goals, medication questions and current concerns to a private clinical conversation. Ask about consent, confidentiality and follow-up. Avoid sharing sensitive histories in public website forms.
Keep urgent pathways clear
Outpatient telehealth is not an emergency or medically supervised withdrawal service. Discuss a safety plan and local support with your clinician. Suspected overdose or immediate danger requires 911; call/text 988 for a crisis.
